Very Detailed Off-Air Raw Notes: Batista Heat, HBK & More!

The Diva’s Championship #1 contenders match had me confused for a bit as it was announced as a triple threat.  That might have caused the audience to be less into it as many of us were confused, but for the most part, there was simply little interest in this match.  Gail Kim was cheered a little bit because she was from Toronto and most people didn’t really care one way or the other about Alicia Fox.  Funny note:  after the match, the referee kind of rolled Gail Kim out of the ring unceremoniously and down she went to the floor, before wobbly getting back to her feet.

I’d comment on the backstage segment with Chris Jericho, Trish Stratus and Beth Phoenix, but to be brutally honest, the acoustics in the Air Canada Center are terrible and it was hard to hear what was being said most of the night.

We’re Canadians, so you had to expect the "You Screwed Bret" chants.  What I didn’t expect were the HBK chants.  I don’t know how it sounded on TV, but in the Air Canada Center, it was VERY LOUD.  Much louder than the "You Screwed Bret" chants.  Durring commerical, the brawl after the match and continued with both Trips and HBK  fighing in the crowd.  Can’t quite remember how it ended, but Shawn Michaels and Triple H finished with the upperhand.

Hornswoggle got a huge pop from the Toronto crowd.  I really don’t know why.  Personally, I am sick of the Chavo Guererro vs Hornswoggle angle and was glad to hear Chavo finally say he gives up and Hornswoggle wins.  It will be interesting to see what they do with Chavo now that this is finally over and done with.

I thought we were going to commercial after this match and got up and used the washroom,  cursing myself on my way back while listening to John Cena’s voice, which again, was hard to understand due to the bad acoustics.  Not sure of the crowd reaction as I missed the whole damn thing.
