Unified Tag Team Title Match: Big Show and Chris Jericho (c’s) vs Mark Henry and MVP: This was a solid bout to open the show, although I think it tended to slow down too much when Mark Henry and Big Show were in the ring. I have mixed feelings about JeriShow, which I have had since the teams inception. On the one hand, I like the fact that the tag team champions are two main event level players, and the belts now mean more than they have in quite sometime, but on the other hand I don’t like the pairing of Jericho and Big Show. It makes sense on paper, as you have speed and agility in Jericho which matches with the strength of Big Show, but a certain amount of fast paced excitement is lost whenever Big Show steps into the ring. Combine that with the slowness of Mark Henry, and ultimately this match, although solid, felt too jilted. Out of a possible 9 stars, I give Breaking Point’s opening contest 6 Stars.
