RAW Opener: Dusty Rhodes, Randy Orton, Cody Rhodes

The show opens with Lilian Garcia introducing tonight’s guest host, "The American Dream" Dusty Rhodes. Dusty talks about how he was inducted into the WWE Hall Of Fame in 2003. He then says he loves his son Cody Rhodes, and says "I know" before the crowd has a chance to boo. He says there is nothing a father wouldn’t do with his son. He talks about the Randy Orton vs. John Cena "I Quit" match at Breaking Point. Dusty makes a match for tonight – Cody Rhodes vs. Randy Orton for the WWE title. He says he’ll be in Cody’s corner during the match. He also says the special referee will be John Cena. This cues Randy Orton’s music as he makes his way to the ring. Orton tells Dusty he thinks he’s jealous of him because his son Cody loves him more than his own father. He asks Dusty what makes him think Cody will even accept the match. Orton says he should kick Dusty in the skull again. This cues Cody Rhodes’ music and out comes the Legacy member to the ring. Cody tells Orton this man you happened to kick in the head two years ago happens to be his father. He tells Orton they’re associates, perhaps even friends. He says but this is a golden opportunity and one he will not pass up. He says he intends to become the youngest WWE champion in history tonight. He tells Orton it isn’t personal – it’s strictly business.

Backstage: Divas Get Instructions

Backstage we see a referee talking to six WWE Divas. Jerry Lawler says it’s an American Dream battle royal where the winner will face the champion tonight.

What’s On ECW Tomorrow?

A commercial for tomorrow’s ECW airs, advertising a replay of the Undertaker vs. Shawn Michaels match from WrestleMania.

American Dream Diva Battle Royal

-Kelly Kelly vs. Gail Kim vs. Beth Phoenix vs. Rosa Mendes vs. Jillian Hall vs. Alicia Fox

Rosa Mendes is thrown out within a minute. Alicia Fox is out next. Kelly Kelly is eliminated immediately after. Gail Kim has Beth Phoenix teeter-tottering on the outside of the apron. It’s down to Gail Kim and Jillian Hall. Kim and Hall are having a really bad match by themselves right now. Jillian throws Kim over the top but Kim hangs on. Kim gets her out. Beth Phoenix, who was laying on the outside of the apron playing possum, comes back to toss Kim out with ease to win the match. With the win, Beth earns a shot at Mickie James later tonight on RAW.

Winner: Beth Phoenix
