Very Detailed Onsite Report From SD! Last Night: DX Appears!

The refs then run out to the ring with the stage crew to change the ring ropes from silver to blue and the apron banners to Smackdown. They did that in about 5 minutes. Pretty damn impressive.

The crowd was hot and ready for Smackdown. The card they’d been promoting locally was fantastic. The cage match for the World Heavyweight Title and DX & John Cena vs Legacy.

Smackdown was great from start to finish. There were two bad botches tonight. One by DH Smith catching Morrison. And one real bad one by Rey and Kane. I doubt either will make air on Friday.

No one cared about the Divas match or what Michelle McCool had to say.   She came out on crutches, but in high heels.  How are we supposed to buy an injured knee if you’re in freakin heels!

The interview segment with Josh Matthews and Mike Knox, right in front of our seats!!! If you see kind of a big guy with a red t shirt a camera and a Red Sox hat, that’s me!

The main event was one of the most exciting matches to see live. Both men were nowhere near 100%, but they gave everything they had. Most fans had obviously not heard about Jeff leaving because they were hanging on every move. And when he lost, many fans in attendance welled up, with tears in their eyes. I love Jeff and I’ll miss him as a wrestler, for now. He’ll be back. Don’t worry. Plus, this was HIS decision.

I feel privileged as a long time wrestling fan to have witnessed that main event.
