More Detail On The 8-13 TNA iMPACT Rating

Source:  AC Nielsen Media Research

TNA iMPACT on Spike TV for 8-13-09 only reached a 1.1 (also reported as a 1.05) which is the lowest rating for the show since June 25, 2009.

Quarter Hour breakdowns were:

.91

.95

.96

1.1

1.17

1.15

1.02

1.09

So the show while starting with a wierdly low audience actually grew audience during the 1st hour and jumped to it’s highest rating in the 1st quarter hour of the second half of the show.

The show opened with Christy Hemme vs Sojourner Bolt and ended with the 3rd of the Best 2 out of 3 matches between AJ Styles & Matt Morgan that was one by Morgan.

The rating had to be disapointing as this was the "go home" show for the PPV, and interestingly TNA decided this week to return to taping twice a month again after have swithed not that long ago to monthly tapings.  While the monthly tapings certainly saved money, I assume it was realised that taping a full month in advance gives away much of the storyline in advance at least to the internet TNA audience, like the fact that AJ was losing the 2 out of 3 series to Morgan.
