Lashley’s Next MMA Opponent, Matt Hardy Ring Return Update

The Wrestling Observer is reporting that the rumored opponent for Bobby Lashley’s upcoming MMA fight in Denver on October 3rd is Ron Waterman. According to Sherdog.com, Waterman has an overall MMA record of 16-6-2 and is 43 years old. In addition to being an MMA fighter, he was also a pro wrestler for several years wrestling in promotions including WWE, New Japan, and others. We reported a week ago that TNA has no plans to utilize Lashley in the ring until after this bout to prevent him from sustaining any injuries which could prevent him from fighting.

As seen on Smackdown this past Friday night, Matt Hardy did return to TV although it’s being reported that he is still about 3-4 weeks away from being able to return to the ring.

In 2010, he completed principle photography on a film titled "How to Score Your Life," which also features TNA Knockout ODB.

Inspiration in his life has come from many people including his family, Woody Allen, Steven Spielberg, Jack Nicholson, The Beatles, and of course, Lassie.
