Kings of Wrestling Collide

On August 1st in Jersey City, Claudio Castagnoli will make his much anticipated debut in JAPW. He has been all over the country and world for promotions like PWG, ROH, IWA-MS, Chikara, CZW, Pro Wrestling NOAH in Japan, and wXw in Germany. He is very accomplished as well, having won titles all over the world and he will bring all of that experience with him to JAPW in just a few short weeks.

Since he was announced, people have been wondering who his opponent would be in his debut. Well, if Claudio wants to get started off on the right foot here in JAPW, he’s going to have to bring his A-game as he will square off with none other than former partner and trainer, the returning CHRIS HERO. Chris Hero is no stranger to JAPW as he has fought here on multiple occasions in 07 and 08 and though he met with little success, he is definitely no pushover.

As the Kings of Wrestling, Claudio and Hero held tag titles in Chikara, CZW, and ROH before splitting up and becoming embroiled in a bitter feud in early 2007. These two know each other really well and have quite a bit of bad blood so this match will definitely be a hard fought affair. Will Hero finally get that big win in JAPW in his return? Or will Claudio be successful in his debut and prove all his hype was well deserved? You’ll just have to be there on August 1st to find out.
