King of the Mountain matches were awesome with plenty of spots (as
expected). The Tag team match with Team 3D and Beer-Money INC was
great too, I think it’s great to see actual tag team matches unlike in
other federations. The Daniels/Douglas match was a little slow, but
apparently Douglas hurt his ankle so i will give it slack. The
Sting/Morgan match for me was a downer, I could not get into this
match and found this match to be the only match I could not really get
into. As for Tara/Love match, it was a nice women’s match to change
pace. I expected an appearance by Awesome Kong but guess I was wrong.
The Monsters Ball match lived up to my expectations. I thought the
women performed very well in this match. Daffney going through the
tacks was a great spot and unexpected. There was one point in the
match where she went over the guardrail and just missed hitting her
head on the corner of the steel steps, I thought she nailed it at
first but luckily I was wrong and she was good. I LOVED the ending to
the King of the Mountain main event match. I did not see this heel
turn coming at all and it was about time a turn occurred that couldn’t
be seen. I also LOVED the fact that NONE of the matches seemed like
they were cut short and all were given the proper amount of time to
give a well-put match. I give TNA a lot of credit for tonight’s PPV
and WWE should really be taking notes on how to give the fans what
they want. Recently I have been a supporter of TNA over WWE due to the
current storylines and matches that WWE is putting together. Thank you
TNA for giving me some hope in being a wrestling fan as a whole and
not disappointing me.
As for the "King of the Mountain" match, I got 3 words for ya. Stupid. Stupid. Stupid. Its like if a hardcore, ladder and scramble match had a retarded baby, it would be KoTM. Sure, the match has some great spots and is aesthetically pleasing, but overall there are way too many pointless rules and it just ends up being a clusterf*ck.
Kudos to creative though for the swerve and what they’re doing with Joe. He and AJ are the future of that company and the only reason this near 30 year wrestling fan keeps an eye on TNA.
