WZ’s “Inbox:” Kane Update, Shoot Interviews, Breaking Point!

In addition to portraying a woman in a black dress that Finley walks by on his way to the ring was there another reason why Serena Deeb was at the 5-19-09 ECW/Smackdown episode taping, for example was she there for a tryout match and/or to negotiate a development contract, to have a match in which she jobs to a current roster Diva, or was she just there to visit friends backstage?

Serena is an ex-OVW wrestler who has in fact signed a contract with WWE. She began wrestling in OVW back in 2005 and actually holds the record for the most amount of female title wins of any female wrestler in the history of OVW. She has won the title 6 times and actually broker her own record after her 6th win. She is currently signed as a developmental talent in WWE, and her main roster status is unknown at this time.

The Johnny Devine videos are awesome.  I mean I honestly didn’t know who he was, but damn what a cool person, wicked interesting stuff. Are more shoot interviews like this gonna come?

Glad you liked the interview. Myself and Chris Cash also conducted an exclusive shoot interview with Scott D’Amore, formerly of TNA, during the same trip we took to Canada to interview Devine, so look out for that in the near future. We also have a whole host of past shoots that will be released in increments on the website courtesy of RF Video.

Most people have probably noticed this already, but Cena has changed his hand signal. He used to extend his thumb and pinky, but that is a little-known slang sign for “Fuck you.” That is likely the reason he now gives and “OK” sign, like the 3D and the Triple Threat used to do.

I haven’t noticed that, thanks for the tip!

Isn’t 9/13 the date of Unforgiven? Why would WWE take out a PPV that has more consequences than Backlash? Summerslam is the biggest PPV of the summer. They shouldn’t have taken out Unforgiven. WWE fans hate submission matches. If they keep this PPV the buy rate will go wayyyyyy down. I buy every one. This will not be one of them.

Yes, 9/13 was the original date for Unforgiven, but WWE has officially changed the PPV name on their website to Breaking Point. I appreciate your opinion of the idea, but I can’t say I agree that Unforgiven has more consequences than Backlash. Unforgiven follows Summerslam, yes, but Backlash follows Wrestlemania, which is the biggest PPV event in pro wrestling of the entire year. Who knows, maybe Summerslam will be booked better than Wrestlemania this year and thus Breaking Point will have deeper consequences, but we’ll have to wait and see. If anything WWE should have replaced a different PPV than Unforgiven, maybe one that doesn’t follow such a major PPV as Summerslam, but as far as WWE fans hating Submission Matches, I have yet to see that opinion so vehemently displayed. They generally go over pretty well.

Thanks for all of your questions and comments this week, and be sure to send more of them in by emailing WZInbox@yahoo.com!
