Former WWE Referee Gives His Wrestlemania Predictions

Former WWE referee, Wes Adams, shared his WRESTLEMANIA preditions in an interview with www.pwmania.com .

Adams has been doing more wrestling than refereeing since his departure from WWE including a recent match in Mississippi against another former WWE/ECW referee, Mike Posey.   The two have now teamed up on the Independent wrestling circuit as THE OFFICIAL EXPRESS, and have matches scheduled as a team on April 11 in Scottsboro, AL for Ultimate NWA and on April 25 in Summit, MS for PSP.

Posey also regularly performs on Fridays for Royston, GA based APW (Alternative Pro Wrestling), and on some Saturdays for GCW (Global Championship Wrestling) in Alabama.

Here are some highlights from The Wes Adams interview:

April 3, 2009 – Former WWE Referee, Wes Adams, recently took some time out of his scheduled to speak with www.PWMania.com. He spoke on this Sunday’s WWE WrestleMania XXV and also his predictions for the event including what match he would want to officiate and main event.

On the Triple Threat Championship Match: “As serious as the Orton/Triple H match has been, this match has been equally funny/comedy relief. I enjoy Edge and Vickie’s interaction, and always have from the beginning. I expect some innovative stuff here. I think Big Show may have some suprises for us. Realistically, Triple H, Shawn Michaels and Chris Benoit set the bar so high for Triple Threat WrestleMania matches, that its going to be hard for any Triple Threat match to really stand out as a memorable WrestleMania moment.”

On the IC Championship Match: “First of all, I am ecstatic to see the Intercontinental championship defended after such a long hiatus from Wrestlemania. I’m sure many other people are as well. I’m as curious as the next guy as to what JBL’s History Making Moment could be. This match reminds me of some of the classic big man vs, small man Wrestlemania matches, like Kevin Nash vs. Shawn Michaels and Yokozuna vs. Bret Hart.”

On Shawn Michaels vs. Undertaker: “Its always great when Shawn is pushing someone’s buttons, trying to get under their skin. He did it with Hogan and now with Undertaker. Showing up in a white version of Undertaker’s outfit was great television. And its Wrestlemania. Shawn Michaels cannot be outshone at WrestleMania. And the Undertaker can’t be beat. The streak isn’t going away. Undertaker wins in what I am sure will be an all time classic.”

Wes Adams also gives his predictions on the other matches scheduled for WrestleMania 25 as well as what he thinks should be the main event for WrestleMania 25 and what match he would like to compete in as a referee and a wrestler.
