Updates On Bobby Heenan’s Health & Dawn Marie’s Charity

Bobby Heenan is apparently doing better and is now out of the hospital.  He had a second surgery to reconstruct his jaw in December of 2007 and that is now complete.  He was placed in a medically induced coma and brought out slowly.  He is still working on speaking clearly, but has come a long way from using only his eyes to communicate.  It’s being reported that he plans on attending some Major League Baseball spring training sessions when they get started up.  I believe he still plans on having other surgeries coming up, but they are for other facial reconstructions and not for his jaw as that’s supposed to be complete now.

Dawn Marie is still working on her "Wrestler’s Rescue" project that was created to help raise money for retired wrestlers that have no health care benefits.  They held their first event on September 14th of last year and are working on an auction for "Dr. Death" Steve Williams.  Jim Ross is working with her on this project in attempt to raise money for a hands-free device that will help him speak.  You can find out more information about the project at www.wrestlersrescue.org and at their Myspace page located HERE.
