WZ.com Exclusive: TNA Stars In Japan

Bill Behrens

TNA stars won across the board at NWA Japan’s Jan 3 Tokyo Dome Show.

Shelly & Sabin (The Motor City Machine Guns) not only are now IWGP Jr. Heavyweight Tag Team Champions, but they’ve also held the Zero 1 Max Tag Team Titles for well over a year.

Team 3D defeated Makabe & Yano for the second time, this time becoming IWGP Tag Team Champions. They faced them the first time at last year’s Tokyo Dome show. Team 3D is undefeated in Japan in all promotions in which they have appreared.

Since joining TNA Kurt Angle suffered only one Japan loss, and that was when he lost the IWGP Title to Shinsuke Nakamura on February 17, 2008.

Given the wins accross the board for the TNA stars, it is clear that New Japan will bring The Machine Guns and Team 3D back soon. There had been discussions Team 3D’s return to Japan to feud with Makabe & Yano, on and off throughout last year.
