Quarter Hour Ratings Breakdown for iMPACT 12-11-08 And More

As we reported earlier TNA iMPACT earned a 1.16 Cable rating delivering 1.6 million cable HH in Spike TV’s Universe for the 12-11-08 airing, slightly down from the previous week’s 1.8 million cable HH.

The quarter hours tracked as follows:

#1 1.08

#2 1.01

#3 1.03

#4 1.13

#5 1.17

#6 1.10

#8 1.28

#9 1.21

Segment #1 was primarily a talking spot with the Main Even Mafia & AJ Styles with the only action happening when AJ hit the ring and confronted Sting. The spot was well done, but it may suggest that talk spots are not the best way to open an action show. This is reinforced by the slight drop in the second quarter hour. The first match did not hit the ring until 18-19 minutes into the show. It took until the final quaret hour of the 1st half for audience to start picking up which suggests some folk watched other stuff for the 1st hour.

This week, however, TNA better maintained and grew audience at the end of the show, by setting up Brother Ray vs Angle and then paying it off with a pretty good brawl. The Knockouts match that preceded the brawl benefited from the set-up and held audience.

Demo #s were:

Men 18-49 .86

Persons 18-49 .57

Men 18-34 .94

M 12-17 1.22
