Border City Wrestling News and Notes

Border City Wrestling, one of Ontarioâs most respected and longest running independent wrestling promotions, has come to an agreement with BSE Pro Wrestling, one of Canada’s fastest up-and-coming independents and rival to BCW, to start a talent exchange program. The exact terms of the talent exchange are not fully known at this time, but will begin on December 13th, at Assumption High School in Windsor Ontario Canada. Four BSE superstars will be appearing at BCW’s 15th Anniversary Bash: Frankie the Mobster, Xtremo and Assault and Battery (Mike Alias and Kenneth Crisis). They join former WWF and WCW World Champion, Detroit’s own, Kevin Nash, current TNA superstars and former Can-Am Wrestling School graduates, the Motor City Machine Guns (Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin) as well as one half of the TNA Tag Team Champions, Beer Money Inc. Robert Roode! VIP tickets are NOW completely sold out, but you can still see all the action by purchasing general admission tickets available for $10 in advance and $15 at the door. Tickets, detailed information, and DVD’s of past events are available at www.bordercitywrestling.com. We hope to see everyone at Assumption to help us celebrate our 15th year!

Fifteen years ago, in April 1993, Border City Wrestling held it’s first ever live event at LaSalle Arena starring Scott D’Amore, Mickey Doyle, Al Snow, Denny Kass, Bobby Clancy and Otis Apollo. In the following years, BCW would evolve from 125 seat shows in LaSalle to 3000+ shows at Windsor’s riverfront featuring some of wrestling’s hottest stars including Mick Foley, The Hart Foundation, Jerry “The King” Lawler and most notably, The Rock! During those years, BCW also helped jumpstart the careers of some of wrestling’s hottest current stars such as Christian Cage, “Maple Leaf Muscle” Petey Williams, Rhino, The Motor City Machine Guns and the “Rated R Superstar” Edge!
