Jim Ross Comments on Ric Flair’s Possible Return to the Ring

Jim Ross has updated the blog section of his website. This time around he discusses a few topics including Ric Flair’s rumored return to the ring. Below is an excerpt:

Ross on Ric Flair considering a return to the ring: “Ric is in a unique situation as he is one of the few free agent stars out there that can still sell tickets particularly when there is a strong promotion behind him and he is wrestling

in a high profile situation. That situation would be in the Tokyo Dome on January 4, 2009 against a Japanese legend like Masa Chono, for example.

“The Japanese need an ‘outside attraction’ to help resurrect their Dome business and Ric having his ‘Japanese retirement match’ there would definitely help sell tickets. The ceremony and pre-match hype in Japan for this event would be memorable. So, do I know for sure if Ric Flair is going to take a huge money offer for a one off event in Tokyo in the Dome on January 4, 2009? No. Would I be willing to make a friendly wager than it does happen? Without question.”

Nick was born and raised in Detroit, Michigan, and lived there until the age of 18, when he decided to pack his flack jacket and move to New York City.

Nick attended New York University and graduated in 2001 with a degree in Drama.

Nick first entered the internet wrestling community back in 2004 when he became the co-host of The Voice of Wrestling Radio Show. From there, Nick made the transition from radio personality to editor when he began working with WrestleZone in 2008.

Nick is a member of two Off-Broadway theatre companies, Another Urban Riff, and the Drama Desk Award winning Godlight Theatre Company. Nick has appeared in over a dozen Off-Broadway plays since he moved to New York City, and has shot several short and feature length films. In 2010, he completed principle photography on a film titled "How to Score Your Life," which also features TNA Knockout ODB.

Inspiration in his life has come from many people including his family, Woody Allen, Steven Spielberg, Jack Nicholson, The Beatles, and of course, Lassie.
