WWE results from Montgomery, AL, on September 15: Primo Colon & Carlito over John Morrison & the Miz; Chavo Guerrero over Jimmy Wang Yang; Michelle McCool over Maryse to retain the WWE Divas Title; Jeff Hardy over Shelton Benjamin by disqualification; Finlay over Mike Knox; Curt Hawkins & Zack Ryder over Jesse & Festus to retain the WWE Tag Team Title; Matt Hardy over Mark Henry to retain the ECW Heavyweight Title; and Triple H & the Undertaker over MVP & the Great Khali.

WWEâ<80><99>s No Mercy PPV will be broadcast live from the Rose Garden in Portland, OR, on October 5. If you begin seeing news names from Florida Championship Wrestling, donâ<80><99>t think there has been a huge influx of new talent. Rather, eight of the WWE developmental talent have had their names changed. These changes include the following: Byron Saxton (formerly Bryan Kelly), Carson Oakley (formerly Kevin Kiley), Damien Santiago (formerly Lupe Martinez), Nelson Roy (formerly Imani Lee), Sebastian Slater (formerly Heath Miller), Taj Milano (formerly Gabe Tuft), Trent Barretta (formerly Greg Jackson), and Tyson Tarver (formerly Tyrone Jones).

Total Nonstop Action will be taping for iMPACT! at Universal Studios in Orlando, FL, tonight. Admission for tapings is free. Call (407) 224-6000 for more info. Matches expected to take place include Christian Cage & A.J. Styles versus Chris Sabin & Alex Shelley, Jay Lethal versus Booker T, and Kip James & Velvet Sky versus Rhino & Taylor Wilde. The Future Wrestling Federation has its next event on September 19 at the Hoop 4 Life Center in Carl, GA. Advertised: In a title vs. mask match, Psychoman (c) vs. Black Spyder. In a FWF US title match, DeMarco Knight (c) w/Tiny Hughes vs. “Vicious” Vic Roze w/Charlie Cash. Micah Taylor vs. Cru Jones. Junior vs. Mortochai. The Unholy Alliance members, Brian Titus, Leatherface, & Terry Lawler vs. Explicit Content & Crash Hollywood. Also scheduled to appear, “The Kid” Brandon Kage, “The Lights” TA Stanton, “The Hotshot” Jamie Holmes, Father John Christian, Rob Russo. Doors open at 8:00 and bell time is 8:30. Tickets are $10 for adults, $5 for kids 7-12 and free for kids under 5.

Around 200 people were in attendance at the September 14 Rampage Pro Wrestling Show in Warner Robins, GA. Rob Adonis defeated Frankie Valentine w/Ace Diamond. In a championship tournament match, Sal Rinauro defeated Kyle Matthews to advance. Kodiak w/Ace Diamond defeated Ron Stalker. Intermission: Dr. Johnny Gayton called out Shaun Banks. Gayton hit Banks with a Samoan drop and put lipstick on him. Cru Jones came in and attacked Gayton. Hot Like Lava double teamed Gayton until Jason Cross & AJ Steele made the save. In another championship tournament match, Colt Derringer defeated J-Rod thanks to outside interference from Sal Rinauro. Afterward, J-Rod challenged Sal for Sal’s spot in the tournament. A.J. Steele & Jason Cross defeated Hot Like Lava members, Cru Jones & Shaun Banks when Banks was hit with a knee lift from a masked man. After the match, Valentine & Kodiak w/Ace Diamond attacked Cross. Diamond said that the attack was courtesy of Vordell Walker.

The next RPW event is at Johnny G’s in Warner Robins, GA, on September 21 at 4:00. Advertised: Sal Rinauro defends his spot in the RPW championship tournament against J-Rod. It is unclear as to how Roberto Soto & Argentina Apollo became recognized as Southeastern Tag Team Champions. The last reference we have shows a scheduled tournament that was to take place on February 9, 1972, in Columbus, with no details as to who participated or won. The Assassins had been the champions, but the title was vacated when they failed to defend the title within a thirty-day period. The program for this card mentioned that Bob Armstrong was the Columbus Heavyweight Champion at the time. It is unclear as to how Armstrong came to be recognized as such. The last reference we have shows Bill Dromo defending the title against Buddy Colt on February 2, 1972, in Columbus.
