Like on one pay-per-view, we had a cage match with weapons, and a Last Man Standing match, and a New Jersey Street Fight. We don’t need to have gimmick matches. We have the talent to have great wrestling matches. That’s why we are different than WWE. We have amazing wrestlers that can put on incredible matches.” To read the full interview, visit this link.
Nick’s Note: So TNA is different from WWE because they have the talent to put on good matches and WWE doesn’t? Or is he implying that they don’t need to load PPV’s with gimmick matches because they are different from WWE? Either way I couldn’t disagree with him more. Does he remember he worked in WWE which made him the star he is today? Worked with many people that had the talent to put on great matches, and was involved in a greater number of non-gimmick matches than TNA has ever had? Despite some off-the-wall comments, which are usual from Kurt, the Slam interview is a good read.
