WZ.com Exclusive: “Prince Justice Brotherhood” A Rib On TNA Star

The Prince Justice Brotherhood team name for Curry Man, Shark Boy & Super Eric in TNA is either a rib on or inside joke on former creative team member, Abyss.

Abyss wrestled early in his career in Nashville and other areas as Prince Justice. When he joined NWA Wildside he changed his look and dropped the “Prince”, becoming the monster, Justice, and became NWA Wildside Heavyweight Champion. When TNA crowned it’s 1st heavyweight champion, Ken Shamrock, it was with a Gauntlet For The Gold in which Justice was a participant.

Justice went to Puerto Rico and was renamed and recreated by booker Dutch Mantel as Abyss, and re-joined TNA officially in June 2004 in an initial but short-lived feud with Jeff Hardy and has been in TNA since.

Exactly why the Prince Justice Brotherhood name was chosen by the TNA creative team is unknown regardless of the “inside” rib or joke aspect, I’m not real sure how it “brands” or helps Curry Man, Shark Boy and Super Eric. Clearly the name entertained someone in TNA creative, but who knows who else.
