Joey Mercury Heading Back to WWE? Raw vs The NFL

Pwinsider.com is reporting that WWE will have its final shot at claiming they’ve “beaten” Monday Night Football in the ratings this Monday night. This past edition of Raw did NOT beat Monday Night Football as the Sci-Fi airing only drew a 2.8 compared to the NFL’s 3.2 cable rating. Once regular season football begins following this Monday night, Raw won’t come close to attracting more viewers.

Last night MCW held their monthly show and I got a couple of news bits for you. This is my first hand report not second hand from someone else. Joey Matthews during an in ring promo said that he was going back to WWE in December along with partner Christian York. Joey said he spoke with John Laurinitis earlier in the day and he was going back as Joey Mercury. After you guys reported that Kevin Nash left the Impact tapings I wondered if he was still with the company. Kevin said that he still has two months left on his contract, if TNA gives him the money he wants then he’ll be staying otherwise hes out the door.

Nick was born and raised in Detroit, Michigan, and lived there until the age of 18, when he decided to pack his flack jacket and move to New York City.

Nick attended New York University and graduated in 2001 with a degree in Drama.

Nick first entered the internet wrestling community back in 2004 when he became the co-host of The Voice of Wrestling Radio Show. From there, Nick made the transition from radio personality to editor when he began working with WrestleZone in 2008.

Nick is a member of two Off-Broadway theatre companies, Another Urban Riff, and the Drama Desk Award winning Godlight Theatre Company. Nick has appeared in over a dozen Off-Broadway plays since he moved to New York City, and has shot several short and feature length films. In 2010, he completed principle photography on a film titled "How to Score Your Life," which also features TNA Knockout ODB.

Inspiration in his life has come from many people including his family, Woody Allen, Steven Spielberg, Jack Nicholson, The Beatles, and of course, Lassie.
