Second Set of Reader Opinions Of The Orton Accident

The ONLY way Orton would be able to be launched the length of 300 feet is if he first landed on one of the WWE’S diva’s breasts and launched himself into the rest of the “trip”. I’ve seen Die Hard I-IV several times, and there is not one shot of McClain falling, diving, sliding, etc 300 feet. Now…if he really did wreck, my heart goes out to him and hopes he gets well and back to a MUCH NEEDED storyline with anyone—but now we have the “near death” storyline that can be played out for the next months of being able to survive being thrown more than what Favre can only imagine throwing.

Nick’s Note: If the story turns out to be a work, I don’t see creative going with the “he survived” angle. Rather, I see them bringing Orton in for a surprise appearance at Summerslam and then having him cut a promo the next night on Raw admitting it was all a lie. This way the announcers can put over how “despicable” Orton is for creating such a heinous lie to the fans.

I went to Raw last night in Richmond. I got there early to try and meet some wrestlers before the show. So I went out to the area where the wrestlers arrive. I clearly saw Randy Orton conversing with Vince McMahon near some sort of truck, I guess a production truck.

Maybe this will shed some light on the “injury story”.

I don’t believe that the Randy Orton Motorcycle Accident is real. When I first saw the story of the accident I thought well maybe it is real, but the more facts I read courtesy of wrestlezone I thought this is fake. If this is indeed fake then WWE should be ashamed of themselves for creating such a stupid storylinework. WWE has been very uncreative and very plain the last couple of weeks and again if this whole Randy Orton thing turns out fake then this is a pathetic attempt to get ratings. The only way WWE can get this to work to their advantage is if they make a great storyline out of it, other than then it will be completely pointless, just my two cents.

you should read your own stories on your website. orton himself even said it was not 300 but 30 feet and has been onto wwe.com to tell them. easy mistake but i would guess merely a typo. on another note, i would guess it’s not a work. the only thing i could think is that it could be a way of wwe giving him more time with his new daughter.

Nick’s Note: The whole point is that the misrepresentation of information is what is leading many to believe this is a work. It was written on WWE.com as well as announced by Cole last night on Raw that he traveled 300 feet. How could both Cole and wwe.com report this wrong if it was indeed a typo?

How coincidental is it that he gets injured a day after he was medically cleared to come back. I’m guessing he’s going to come back this Sunday at summerslam , either interfering in the cena batista match or the punk jbl match. Most likely cena batista because i don’t see wwe giving us a clean finish in that match.

I definitely think that Randy Orton was in an accident. But WWE in all of their wisdom like to exaggerate stories like these, in order to make their “Superstars” look more than human.

it is a bit convenient that his accident was announced just before raw.

I am starting to believe that this is a work. I tried to search to see if it was an actual accident and the only non-wrestling website to turn up with the story was a Celebrity Gossip site. Oddly enough, their source was WWE.com lol. Let’s also remember that when Cena went out to an injury a while back, they told us he would be out a lot longer in order to shock us at the Royal Rumble. That worked really good so maybe they are trying the formula out again.
