Rey Mysterio didn’t do Raw this week due to him not being completely recovered from his torn biceps injury. He is expected to be back full-time within the next month, but because they hyped him up as the first draftee moving to Raw, they wanted to do the angle with Santino to get him over. They also knew that the Santino match could be made to be easy on Rey.

Flair was also said to be in attendance backstage at the Raw show on Monday as well. He did not do a speech there because they didn’t want to a ton of “Woo” chants kicking off Raw, according to WrestlingObserver.com. Flair’s daughter, Ashley, was also spotted sitting behind the announce table, but they didn’t make any mention of her being there.
