CM Punk Proves His Worth, Bret Hart Shoots, Maria Update

CM Punk may have critics and naysayers questioning his ability to draw as Champion, but this week on Raw definitely can’t add to that theory. CM Punk’s segment was the highest rated of the entire show with the exception of the overrun which typically is the highest. His match with Kane also drew better than the six man main event featuring JBL/Rhodes/Dibiase facing Cena/Cryme Tyme. Due to the fact that Rhodes and Dibiase and Cryme Tyme are new to the main event slot, you can’t really blame anyone in that regard yet, but it could make one believe that the Cena/JBL combination is getting old.

Maria did not attend the Smackdown/ECW tapings on Tuesday yet again. Rather, she attended the 9th Annual Animal Fair Media Paws for Style event in New York City. She has still not made an appearance since being drafted to the show.

Bret Hart recently did an interview with Canada.com where he talks about MMA, watching his niece and nephew in the WWE, doing an episodic show based on his autobiography, and more. He also had the following words to say about Hulk Hogan and his recent publicity following Nick’s crash:

“I think he showed his true colours. He’s washed up. He exposed himself. It’s pretty callous. I think he dug himself an even bigger hole on Larry King. He was always selfish. Everything Hogan ever did was for Hogan. That could have happened to anybody. We all have kids that age. I know I wouldn’t have handled things the same way. I would have been very remorseful.”
