Exclusive: Reader Thoughts on “Is He Alive or Dead?” and ECW

I received a TON of emails concerning your thoughts on the Kane “Is He Alive or Dead?” angle that began on Raw this past Monday night. Here are some of your thoughts, as well as thoughts on ECW from last night.

About the Kane thing, do you think he could be referring to the Undertaker? Taker’s supposedly making his return later this month and Kane might not know if Taker is alive or dead. If so, this is a good way to bring Taker to Raw, if that’s the direction their going, don’t you think? seeing as Triple H and the Undertaker don’t get along from what I’ve heard.

If Kane was the one that attempted to kill Vince, how does that explain the strange things happening at Raw? I’m thinking Undertaker, but since he left instead of being KO’d and put in a “RIP” state, (where he then makes a grand return at an upcoming PPV) I’m not sure. My guess is that he may be coming to Raw, or it could be a sign of someone or something coming to Raw in the distant future.

I like the way your going with the whole, “Kane tried to kill McMahon” angle. I never even thought about that. I was thinking it was a line that they were gonna bring the Undertaker back in. With Michael Cole coming into the spot light of the story line, I figured he knows something about the Undertaker, or a situation that happened to Taker. Since Cole was on Smackdown, as well as Taker, I figured this would be a way they can bring him into Raw. But good heads up on that Kane killing McMahon. This would explain the pyros and stuff that went on during the “Colapse of the Stage.”

When the McMahon injury thing happened a few weeks ago, the first thing I thought was Undertaker. I mean, comon, look at the symbolism with the big McMahon Money sign falling on him and the plain weirdness that has been happening since. My buddy correctly pointed out that Taker is banished from the WWE completely. So I’m not sure yet. Now, we all saw that McMahon was very much alive at the end of the show, so the first thing I thought when Kane started with the “Is he dead or alive” thing was, again, Undertaker. So what does he mean, dead or alive? Could we see the return of the American Badass Taker? Is that character the “alive” Taker? Do people want to see that again? Would Undertaker want to try that again? Where’s the loophole for Undertakers return?

OK, I have one for you. What if it’s Kane talking about Paul Bearer who was buried in cement at the GAB 4 years ago?

The ending is going to be Paul Bearer coming back. I know someone who is very close friends with him and that was why he stopped running the shows. To make it seem like he is out of the bus but he confirmed to this friend that he is coming back.

ECW Reviews

I like this Evan Bourne guy a lot. I can’t remember the last time I saw a picture perfect Shooting Star Press like this kid does. Three things I am not understanding, Elijah Burke off television. He used to be the main event guy and now he is lost somewhere in the shuffle (unless he’s got heat backstage). Why keep Matt Hardy off the brand, if there is this talent exchange still going on why is there no stars from SD! on ECW, but always some from ECW on SD!? Finally, I understand why WWE changes names like you stated in your article, but I don’t think changing Chris Harris’s name was a smart move in this case. He was one of those talents in TNA that was great and I think they should of went with that and given him a whole bunch of hype like they did with MVP…but I would of waited to debut him until he was at his old TNA standard because I noticed he didn’t hit any of his moves I usually associate with him. It is like taking Kurt Angle from WWE to TNA and giving him a name like “Eugene Simonson” it just wouldn’t work. Also I am with you this whole Hornswoggle thing it has been old for a long time ever since they completely wasted the whole “Vince’s Illegitimate Son” on him which was being built up very well.

Is this a gimmick for him or is he just that bad? I can’t watch ECW while he’s there. I tried to watch it last night and almost had to mute the broadcast.

I’m with you on the Mike Adamle issue, HE SUCKS. I’m seriously surprised that WWE even had the tesicular fortitude to even hire this guy, then have the GALL to replace good ol’ JR with him for one match on Raw. Wasn’t there anyone ELSE available to do what he does…only better? How about bringing Tony Schiavone out of retirement (or wherever he decided to hide his face)? Sure, he was pretty bad, but dammit Adamle makes Schiavone look like a wrestling announing GOD in comparison. I do tune in to ECW for the matches. I’m glad they sent the divas elsewhere so that they can concentrate on new talent…but hell, the way that corporate is handling it, doesn’t ECW look somewhat like a national version of OVW? I don’t get to see OVW here in the Washington, DC area, but I do try to catch up with it online (still feeling mortified that Eugene is OVW champ). Back to the issue at hand, Adamle needs to go. His time already passed when the original American Gladiators went off the air.
