  • Jay Leno joked in his monologue last night that Hillary Clinton won Kentucky because she promised the people there that if elected president, she would lower the price of Pay Per View wrestling by 50 percent.
  • Stefan Gorges of www.BSWW.de sent this in: I just wanted to note, with Shelton Benjamin beating Kofi Kingston on this weeks ECW on SCI FI, it was Kingston’s first lose in 2008 after winning 50 straight matches.
  • EvanRoss1 sent this in: At this link to the TNA website is a greatest of Slammiversary article with a few matches. I find it interesting that of all the wrestlers no longer in TNA the only one that is explicitly stated as being a “former TNA superstar” is Christopher Daniels.
  • Bret â<80><9c>Hitmanâ<80> Hart and â<80><9c>Rowdyâ<80> Roddy Piper will be among the professional wrestling legends appearing at â<80><9c>Night of Legends II,â<80> presented by the Dan Gable International Wrestling Institute and Museum and Harley Raceâ<80><99>s World League Wrestling Friday, June 27 at 7 p.m. at Young Arena in Waterloo, Ia.
  • Vince McMahon himself made the call to strip the Undertaker of the World Title. The feeling is that Edge makes for a better champion than challenger, and that the Undertaker as champion needs great challengers. Taker vs. Batista has been done a lot, and the feeling is that Edge vs. Taker isn’t a “money PPV match.”
  • Originally the plan for the June 1st “One Night Stand” PPV was to feature the return of Rey Mysterio. It doesn’t appear as if he will be back in time, and has been pulled from all June house shows.
