Former Velocity announcer Josh Mathews, who is still employed but hasn’t appeared on a SmackDown broadcast in over two years, is now hosting a webshow on WWE.com talking about the top five movers and shakers in WWE. Among those profiled on this week’s show are Colin Delaney, Beth Phoenix and Batista.
Hulk Hogan was interviewed last week by the Scripps Howard News Service to promote the new season of American Gladiators on NBC. Hogan spent a lot of time discussing his recent personal issues, including his divorce and Nick’s situation. The Hulkster said, “I had a real period where I had a tough, tough time. I got caught off guard with this divorce thing. I didn’t see it coming. My son is doing better. I pray for my wife every day. I am very grateful because we realize how very blessed we are. Now that we are aware, we are walking in the spirit of God. We are cool. We are way cool.”
Hogan had a book on spirituality with him at Nick’s sentencing last week. Speaking of Hogan’s spirituality, I caught recent a video interview with Rob Van Dam on YouTube where he talked about Hulk Hogan being one of his “spiritual brothers” in the wrestling industry. It sounded like a joke at first, but RVD, who is very spiritual, said Hulk Hogan is one of the guys he calls up just to check on and “exchange positive energy” with.
Speaking of Hogan, the new season of American Gladiators debuts tonight on NBC.
