‘Taker Stripped Of Title, Why The RAW Blackout Was Done

Ryan Clark

For those who may have forgot reading the spoilers from earlier this week or didn’t catch Friday night’s show, an angle was done on Smackdown Friday night where The Undertaker was stripped of the World Heavyweight Title by Vickie Guerrero. Undertaker’s gogoplata submission move was also banned as a result of the “injuries” sustained by Edge at Backlash.

The blackout at the end of Raw on Monday was done to set up two things. It was done to plant the seeds of a forthcoming William Regal vs. Triple H feud, as well as a cage match for the title at Judgment Day by not giving away the conclusion of the match right then and there.

John Cena’s brother, Dan Cena, is raising money for drunk driving prevention. Dan Cena is a police officer for the Newbury Police Department in Massachusetts, and was involved in a head on collision with a drunk driver in February 2007. Cena has been sidelined since the accident. He organized a charity event to donate money to Mother’s Against Drunk Drivers, as well as the Trista Zinck Memorial Scholarship. He’ll also use the money to purchase top of the line breathalyzers for local police departments.
