Saturday afternoon, Vince and Linda McMahon were shown on NBC’s broadcast of the Kentucky Derby. Vince was interviewed and said “The WWE and The Kentucky Derby have alot in common, they both have beautiful people and animals.”
Last year’s WWE Vengeance PPV was dubbed the “Night of Champions” and every single title in WWE (and ECW) was on the line. This year the Vengeance name has been scrapped and on June 29th from Dallas, Texas, WWE Presents the Night of Champions. The PPV poster for the event has been released and it is already outdated. The poster shows every WWE singles champion with their belts. Unfortunately, neither The Undertaker or Randy Orton are still have the belts they’re holding on the poster.
The final numbers for WWE’s tour of Europe are in. For 20 events, they averaged 8,750 paid and $725,000 per event for a total of $14.5 million. This was the company’s biggest money making tour in history.
