Hey, Richard, here is a more detailed report from Raw last night:
The building was packed, pretty much sold out. Crowd was into the show all night. Before the show, the gate we went into seemed to be having some trouble, as only one guy was checking people, and one lady was scanning tickets. This led to some very annoyed people, especially since it started raining really hard as we were waiting to come in. I’ve been to a lot of events, but this was by far the most unorganized process I’ve been through yet. It was ridiculous.
They showed a Mania video to promote the DVD. Lilian came out to a great pop, and was adored all night by the crowd.
As for heat/dark matches:
-Ron Killings over Nic “The Natural” Nemeth
They aired a Troops video, did sign of the night (with Todd Grisham playing heel… he insulted people with signs and at one point told two people with signs in Spanish that it was English only), and aired various videos promoting DVD’s, WWE Shop, etc.
Tons of “Woo’s” before/during/after the show. When they showed Flair during the Mania video, the place went nuts.
After the cameras stopped rolling, Regal came out and stopped the match, telling the fans that since we disrespected him, we weren’t gonna be able to see the end of the match. The crowd was majorly pissed, as was HHH. HHH argued with Mike Chioda, and JR/King, then ran and grabbed Orton and pedigreed him before posing for the fans and leaving. Lilian thanked us for coming, and that was it.
All in all, a pretty good Raw that was worth the drive.
