In celebration of Women’s History Month, WWE.com has added Miss Elizabeth to their Alumni section. Elizabeth departed WWE in 1992, worked in a clothing boutique in a Miami mall for a few years, and returned to wrestling for WCW in 1996. She stayed in the promotion for over four and half years before being let go in August 2000 in a cost-cutting measure. Liz sadly passed away on May 1, 2003 after mixing Xanax & Vicodin with vodka during the middle of the night.
On October 10, 2008 at the Crown Plaza Hotel in Monroe, New Jersey, there will be a comedy roast in honor of WWE Legend The Iron Sheik. Among his roasters will be Nikolai Volkoff, Beetlejuice (who Scott Steiner put in the Steiner Recliner on Nitro in Sept. 2000) and Brian Blair. They plan on adding more names. In 2005, Sheik cut an irate and obscene promo against Blair. In reference to Blair, he said he wanted to “make [him] humble,” which is where that deal originated from. For more information on the event, visit RingRoasts.com. The tag line for this event is “He’s Gettin’ Humbled!”
WWE is actively working on a new Ric Flair DVD.
