TNA’s Dixie Carter Meets With Congress, Advertisers/WWE

Media Life Magazine has an interesting article online where they look at shows that advertisers are inclined to avoid. Not surprising, the term wrestling was close to the top of the list. A survey conducted by the publication last year included the term WWE near the top of the list.

TNA president Dixie Carter traveled to Washington D.C. earlier this year to meet with Congressmen regarding the steroid issue in professional wrestling. Prowrestling.net reports that she ended up meeting with Congressional assistants. The meeting took place prior to the company holding its first drug test. TNA talent was told that the results of the tests would be made available to Congress.
