As noted earlier today here on the site, RAW Diva Ashley Massaro has been sent home for the time being, which explains her recent absence from television. She denies it’s anything bad on her MySpace.com account. I’ve heard rumors that she is once again injured. If true this would be Ashley’s 4th major injury since she won the Diva Search in 2005. She has also suffered many other smaller injuries and missed time due to appearing on Survivor China.
WWE will fill out the rest of the WWE Hall of Fame class of 2008 with the following individuals: Mae Young, announcer Gordon Solie, Jack & Gerald Brisco, and Eddie Graham. Those names have been confirmed for induction into the WWE Hall of Fame this year. The latter four individuals were big stars in the Florida territory in the 60’s and 70’s. There are also rumors swirling around that Jake “The Snake” Roberts will be inducted with this year’s HOF class, but it hasn’t been confirmed yet. Wrestlers already announced for the Hall of Fame include Ric Flair, Rocky Johnson and Peter Maivia.
Regarding Amish Roadkill’s firing a few weeks ago, he’s been saying on his MySpace account that he was never told his firing was due to selling WWE merchandise at OVW live events. However, that is the reason why he was let go. Although, there were some people sympathetic to him in the office, and believe that he shouldn’t have been fired over it. After a person in OVW informed WWE that he was selling merchandise at shows, WWE sent out a memo stating that they don’t want any contracted talent selling merchandise at shows, even if it’s their own merchandise.
