Hornswoggle Wins ‘Dubious’ Award, Demento Calls Out Tazz

The Vince McMahon’s son Hornswoggle storyline is joining an elite few; David Arquette as the WCW Champion, the botched WCW/ECW Invasion, Katie Vick, Al Wilson, the 2004 RAW Diva Search, the Jim Ross firing storyline and colonoscopy skit from 2005, not to mention “Eddiesploitation.” Those subjects were previous “winners” of WrestleCrap.com’s ‘The Gooker Award’, and now Hornswoggle has joined this elite company as well after being voted on by wrestling fans everywhere. ‘The Gooker Award’ is given each year to the worst gimmick, storyline, or event in wrestling in that year. The award is named after The Gobbledygooker, one of the worst wrestling gimmicks of all time. With 27% of the total vote, Hornswoggle beat out the seemingly never-ending Eric Young vs. Robert Roode feud (25%), Adam “Pacman” Jones joining TNA (12%), the infamous “Rosie O’Donnell” vs. “Donald Trump” match (12%), Vince McMahon: ECW Champion (9%), TNA’s Blindfold Steel Cage match at Lockdown (4%), the John Cena vs. Kevin Federline match (4%), Black Reign (4%), the TNA mascot Stomper (2%), and the Diva Search (1%). Former WWF wrestler Damian Demento has posted a video on YouTube in which he calls out ECW commentator Tazz. He calls him a “jealous little freak” and also by his real name, Peter Senerchia. He also goes off on Senerchia’s football career, or lack thereof. Demento believes that Senerchia was behind his YouTube account being temporarily disabled recently. Demento closes his video by talking in that carny wrestling speak that guys used to do in the old days when people not inside the wrestling business were nearby by threatening to beat Tazz up.

It will be revealed on tonight’s edition of SmackDown that not one, but two Elimination Chamber matches are taking place at No Way Out; one featuring Raw wrestlers and one featuring SmackDown wrestlers. The wrestlers competing in the SmackDown Elimination Chamber match are as follows: Batista, Undertaker, MVP, Finlay, The Great Khali and Big Daddy V. Plans call for Undertaker to win SmackDown’s Elimination Chamber match at No Way Out, which means that it will be Edge vs. Undertaker for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania. WWE has been planning a Taker vs. Edge WrestleMania match ever since Edge’s move to SmackDown last spring.
