WWE Draft, JBL/Vince Backstage, Elimination Chamber Winner?

From Jon Robinson: I had the chance to talk to JBL the other day about everything from the WWEâs trip to Iraq to his potential comeback. Here is the link to the article on GameTap – http://www.gametap.com/home/read/article/2552.

Advertising for No Mercy on 2/17 in Las Vegas, NV suggests that the winner of an elimination chamber will earn a title match at Wrestlemania.

In Canada, the most searched name in sports during 2007 was Chris Benoit.

JBL getting back into the ring as an active wrestler for the RAW brand, Tazz will be taking his place as an announcer on SmackDown!, returning to the booth alongside former partner Michael Cole. There is a chance WWE will rotate the SmackDown! color commentator position and try out different people. No word on who will fill in for Tazz commentating with Joey Styles on SmackDown. With Christmas and New Years being a slow time for WWE, they have a few weeks to figure it all out. For those wondering on how JBL can go from a retired professional wrestler back to a spotlight feud on RAW, it is most likely due to him being very close friends with Vince McMahon. It has been reported many times that McMahon often lets JBL fly on his own personal jet with him to shows.

As noted late last week and over the weekend here on the site, there is talk of WWE conducting a post-WrestleMania draft. In my view, you can shift the talent all around, but the biggest problem is that WWE is not making new stars, which is something the brand extension was designed to do.
