Original Armageddon Plans, Hogan/RAW Update, Bret Hart

Chris Jericho was on “The Big Deal with Donny Deutsch” on Monday night. He was a part of the “How Bad Do You Want It?” Episode. He talked about his mother supporting him to follow his dream of becoming a wrestler and how his book describes his journey. I think it was a replay of a previous episode, but it was a good interview. Donny talked about how big a fan he is of the WWE.

The plan heading into Armageddon was for Triple H to beat Jeff Hardy, but was apparently changed since it was pretty well known Trips was going over. WWE management is very much behind Jeff Hardy right now as well.

From Jorge Uribe: I noticed the shirt Chris Jericho was wearing is a different design than the one they’re offering at the Shopzone, this shirt has chains in the design the one Jericho wore on TV didn’t.

From Derrick Leroux: I just wanted to let you know that former Heartthrob Antonio “The Promise” Thomas will be on my show, D-Ray’s Wrestling Dungeon, this Wednesday night at 8 P.M. He is scheduled to appear sometime during the show, so listeners may want to turn in for the whole show. The link is: www.nowlive.com/member.asp?id=100225408

Bret Hart appeared on on Off the Record with Michael Landsberg on 12/7. Bret said that he doesn’t want to watch much wrestling anymore because he wants to get passed what happened with Chris Benoit — it brings too much grief. The host said it could take forever for Bret to get passed it considering how many guys Bret knew well who have passed away. Hart says there are guys he worries about now, specifically naming his former tag team partner Jim Neidhart. Bret says there’s more being done for the wrestlers of today, but feels the wrestlers being ignored are “the ones who have been used up and pushed out the door,” like Jim Neidhart, not to mention wrestlers that have already passed away such as Brian “Crush” Adams, Sherri Martel and Bam Bam Bigelow. Bret said they end up broke and have nothing left. “Someone might say, hey, there’s Bam Bam Bigelow, but he’s passed out in the back of his car. No one helps them with their pain, they paid for their own surgeries, and the addiction to painkillers spiraled out of control. The WWE is focusing on their current guys, but they donâ<80><99>t care about the guys theyâ<80><99>ve already let go,” Bret said.

The reason Hogan wore all black on the RAW Anniversary show was because he was wearing the colors heâ<80><99>ll sport on the American Gladiators.
