According to the report, WWE refused to pay $2 million to Benoitâ<80><99>s two surviving children from a previous marriage as ”recognition of their father’s contributions to the company,” according to Chris Benoitâ<80><99>s father, Michael Benoitâ<80><99>s attorney Cary Ichter. The publication noted that this could have set the stage for a â<80><9c>potentially nasty and protracted legal battle.â<80>
