More On Samoa Joe’s Shoot Promo, WWE’s Jab At TNA

Last night on RAW, Mr. Kennedy came to the ring and did a segment where he introduced people dressed up as superstars from Shawn Michaels’ past. First out was a fake Marty Janetty. Then he introduced a fake Razor Ramon. In an obvious jab at Scott Hall’s no-show at the TNA PPV, Kennedy looked at the fake Razor and said “I’m glad you could make it”.

Samoa Joe’s in-ring promo from Sunday night’s TNA Turning Point PPV was online at YouTube but has now been removed.. The promo was a response to Scott Hall no-showing the event. Joe talks about there being 2 types of wrestlers in TNA – the young blood who busts their asses and are great at what they do, and the old “superstars” who come in, cash a paycheck and hog the spotlight. Joe even goes as far as to look at Dixie Carter in the audience and say, “Are you mad? Go ahead, fire me. I don’t care”. This is the promo that lead to a major backstage altercation after the show between Joe and Kevin Nash. TNA may eventually have the video clip removed, so check it out while you can.

Notes from Bret Hart’s autograph signing in Cambridge, Ontario, Canada on December 3rd, 2007: The signing was originally scheduled to begin at 7 PM, but Bret had arrived & was signing copies of his book at 6 PM. The store sold every copy of Bret’s book that they had in stock. Less than 10 copies remained at 6:30 PM, a whole 30 minutes before the signing’s original start time. The store was literally full of people that were waiting to meet Bret for 90 minutes. From 6 PM until around 7:30 PM, if someone came to the store to purchase a book that wasn’t Bret’s, a member of the store’s staff had to be sent into the store to get the book. Bret’s fans had completely engulfed the store & the line stretched out into the mall. Bret was very pleased by the turnout. He wasn’t sure if it was the largest turnout on his tour, but he was very happy & excited with the size of the crowd in Cambridge. Bret continued to sign books after 8 PM as a lot of people were still waiting to meet him.

I saw today that Lita and the Luchagors is playing at Dirty Jack’s in Elmwood Place (Suburb of Cincinnati) on Wednesday the 5th. Their site is www.dirtyjacksrocks.com. I think its $5 at the door.
