WWE News On Cena/NASCAR, JBL/Cole, & More News

Jeff Rardin sent this in: Just thought I would pass this along: I was watching the NASCAR Busch Series race on Friday night. They were talking to Carl Edwards, who had just crashed out. At the end, he gave some get well wishes to some of his family members and “my good friend John Cena”. Carl Edwards is a class act, folks! I’m liking him more every week!

Michael Weaver, Jr. of wrestlingupdateonline.com sent this in: I find this very interesting. In the History of Cyber Sunday section of WWE.com, there are pages that give important events that happened in each year that hosted a Taboo Tuesday/Cyber Sunday event. The interesting tidbit is that in 2004, WWE.com has listed the following: “The issue of steroids plagues Major League Baseball.” To see this and other events of the 2004 year visit this link.

The latest edition of “Around the Ring” with Michael Cole and JBL is now up for listen at this link.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Nicolas Cage is currently in talks to star in an indie drama titled “The Wrestler” by screenwriter Robert Siegel. The film focuses on “Randy “The Ram” Robinson, a 1980s-era star pro wrestler who has become a burnt-out shell of his former self. After he has a heart attack during a small-time match, a doctor tells him he could die if he fights again. In an effort to build a new life, Robinson takes a job at a deli, moves in with an aging stripper and tries to build a relationship with her son. But the prospect of a rematch with his old nemesis the Ayatollah proves too tempting to resist, even if it means risking his life.”
