– Konnan is planning on doing his first wrestling in months on the 10/7 Antonio Pena Memorial show at El Toreo for AAA.

– The World Boxing Council has filed papers in Mexico City to form a pro wrestling promotion.

– Alberto Hinojosa passed away on 9/13. Hinojosa drew comics for the Super Luchas magazine.

– The 10/9 outdoor show at the baseball stadium in Tijuana will feature a Blue Demon Jr. vs. Espectro Jr. mask v. mask match.

– Get ready to hear “The Biggest Wrestlemania Under the Sun” on a regular basis, as that is the tagline for Wrestlemania 24, which will be held outdoors at the Citrus Bowl in Orlando, FL. Tickets go on sale for the event on 11/3.

– Chris Jericho doesn’t have a MySpace page, so the reports elsewhere that he acknowledged his return are false.

– WWE.com is claiming that the 10/7 No Mercy PPV in Chicago is sold out. However a quick check of ticketmaster.com indicates that there are still plenty of tickets available. (thanks to Mike Aldren)

– Nick “U-Gene” Ninsmore is asking $1,200 per match on the independent circuit, or $700 for an autograph session. Cryme Tyme is seeking $1,000 each for a match, or $700 each to sign autographs. Money, Money, Yeah, Yeah.
