Huge Saturday Evening Update: Punjabi, SD!, Mesias

Tres333 sent the following: The Score here in Canada is showing No Mercy advertisements which say the main events are Cena vs. Orton in a Last Man Standing match and Batista vs. The Undertaker. So unless Taker/Batista was the main event originally and they didn’t update the ad, then they will change the main event from Khali/Batista to Taker/Batista again. But seeing how the Punjab Prison match is already being promoted, it will probably stay how it is.

Jerry Lawler was special guest at the Cleveland Indians game this past Saturday night. King, who is a known Indians fan, signed autographs for fans and threw out the first pitch before the game. The Indians gave away Travis Hafner bobbleheads which featured Hafner wearing a WWE Championship belt.

As previously posted, TNA’s newest monster, Judas Mesias, is said to be hurt bad. Mesias was injured at last Sunday’s Verano de. Escandalo in Mexico. Mesias jumped from the top of a ladder which was in the middle of the ring, to the outside floor. Nobody was there to break Mesias fall and he got knocked out. On top of that, Mesias is currently suffering from sciatica and needs a few weeks of rest and physical therapy to heal. Mesias is currently in the middle of a nice sized push in TNA and was scheduled to wrestle the main event at next week’s iMPACT!. This latest injury couldn’t come at a worse time for TNA and Mesias, as they are set to tape the first two 2-hour iMPACT’s this coming Monday and Tuesday night.

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson’s new movie The Game Plan is set to have its premiere Sunday night in Los Angeles. The Rock is also scheduled to attend the UFC show tonight.

During last nightâs airing of Friday Night SmackDown on The Score in Canada WWE ran an advertisement for No Mercy where they promoted the main events as John Cena vs. Randy Orton in a Last Man Standing Bout and Batista vs. Undertaker. It is unknown whether WWE changed the main event from Batista/Undertaker to Batista/The Great Khali or if they will be changing the bout to feature Undertaker.

Last nightâs edition of Friday Night SmackDown did a 2.7 fast national rating.
