More On Ric Flair/WWE, Tag Titles Change Again

Ric Flair was on local sports talk show Prime Time with The Packman this morning on WFNZ here in Charlotte. He said he will be opening a new business in Charlotte this week called Ric Flair Finance. Flair talked a little bit of football before the host asked him if he really quit WWE. Flair kinda laughed at it and said “No, it’s not true.” and asked what WWE would do without him. He didn’t seem too sure of himself but he said he would talk more about everything next week on the same show. Flair and WWE continue to talk after a creative disagreement. He remains under contract with the company and it is expected he’ll be back after things smooth over and a deal is reached.

As expected, the tag team titles changed hands today on the last day of the African tour. Here is the article from WWE.com: Raw had new World Tag Team Champions … for a little while, anyway. During WWEâs tour in South Africa, Paul London & Brian Kendrick defeated Lance Cade & Trevor Murdoch for the gold at the tour’s first stop in Cape Town. Unfortunately, the title reign didnât last very long for the high-flying duo. On the final night of the tour in Joberg, the Redneck Wrecking Crew emerged victorious in a rematch and reclaimed titles. With the tease of holding their first championship since joining Raw last June, London & Kendrick now know that the current champions are vulnerable and have told WWE.com thatâs even more motivation for the match at Unforgiven. They also said that their victory proves that being undersized doesnât necessarily mean that theyâre overmatched. Will this scare serve as a wake up call for Cade & Murdoch when they take on London & Kendrick next Sunday at Unforgiven? Or have the former WWE Tag Team Champions found Cade & Murdochâs Achillesâ heel that will give the World Tag Team Championship a new home?
