Angle Headed To Japan?, SD!, RAW, More News

Kurt Angle did an interview in Tokyo Sports, and said it would be possible for him to wrestle for IGF on 9/8 in Japan, and then fly back to work the 9/9 TNA No Surrender PPV. Angle said it was up to Dixie Carter and Antonio Inoki to work a deal, but he’d be glad to it. Angle also said he’d like to work a match with Josh Barnett, and would want it to be under MMA rules (when is this guy going to stop the MMA chatter?). He also suggested a match against Yugi Nagata to determine the undisputed IWGP champion.

Based on Nielsen Media’s fast national numbers, last night’s Smackdown scored a 2.6 rating.

Here are some recent WWE attendance figures:

– 8/17 Raw in Evansville, IN drew 4,500 fans and a $150,000 live gate.

– 8/18 Smackdown in Albany, GA drew 3,000 fans and a $110,000 gate.

– 8/18 Raw in Bowling Green, KY drew 3,000 fans.

– 8/19 in Macon and Chattanooga both drew about 3,000 fans and $125,000 gates.
