Yesterday we reported that former WCW star Johnny Stamboli had signed a new deal with WWE. We have now learned that the Impact Zone Wrestling announcement was premature.
Stamboli is booked to go on the road with WWE next month for several weeks as an extended tryout. At this time he has not signed a full-fledged contract. Even though Impact Zone Wrestling’s announcement was incorrect, WWE sources indicate they have a high interest in him.
