Roddy Piper recently took part in an interview with “The Pain Clinic” radio show in Rochester, NY on Hot Talk 1280 WHTK-AM commenting on the Chris Benoit tragedy. Piper discussed having dinner with Benoit over the last few years, including after Eddie Guerrero’s funeral. He regretted not having dinner with Benoit recently when he called him about it wanting to talk. He said he would attend Chris Benoit’s funeral, his first since Adrian Adonis’ since he said he can’t handle them. Piper called Benoit his brother and said he will stay on Benoit’s side until the very end. He added quote, “I stand behind Chris Benoit a hundred percent, Iâll be at his funeral, and weâll wait and see what comes back (from the toxicology reports).â
Chris sent this in: Just wanted to let you know I had stopped by the title history section on WWE.com and noticed that they blacked out Benoit’s name on any title that he won. So his name is no longer a clickable link to the story on how he won ANY title in the company.
Jared Ledford sent this in: Just thought I would pass along, Chris Benoit is not totally is not gone from the WWE website if you go into the Power 25 rankings and go back past the 23rd of June Benoit is still on the power ranking lists. He has only been removed on the 23rd of June. Just thought this was interesting.
The Times Daily has an article up with Margaret Benoit, Chris Benoit’s mother, where she talks about being concerned that the DEA was already aware ahead of time of Chris purchasing large amounts of anabolic steroids and what could have been done before the tragedy took place.
