Former WWE Diva Amy Weber will be participating in Nu Wrestling Evolution’s tour of Italy from July 20 through August 5. This will be her first wrestling related appearance since February 2005 when she quit WWE during an overseas tour. Vito and indy women’s wrestler Talia Madison (Gregory Helms’ real life girlfriend) are also scheduled to go on the tour. Visit www.nwewrestling.com for more information.
ECW is going to be a glorified developmental group, the next step up from OVW and Florida Championship Wrestling. Many guys will start there, and when they’re ready, they’ll be moved to either Raw or Smackdown. Raw is obviously the ‘A show’ and Smackdown the ‘B show’, though it’s been like that forever. A few guys, such as Chris Benoit, will be on ECW for the time being to work with them and help them improve.
DirecTV is running a commercial for SummerSlam that exclaimed, “Can the returning Triple H defeat the Unstoppable World Heavyweight champion Edge?”
Eric Bischoff and his partner in crime Jason Hervey are behind a reality TV series that starts on VH1 next month. The show is called Scott Baio Is 45… and Single.
