News On The Rock, Batista, ECW, Lawler, & More

Ryan Clark

As we reported yesterday evening, Jerry Lawler has had assault charges filed against him for allegedly punching someone last Friday in Mississippi. It was reported that Lawler would be served with the charges when he made his next appearance with Memphis Wrestling at their show at the Samâ<80><99>s Town Casino in the state of Mississippi on July 20th. However, Lawler is scheduled to work Ohio Valley Wrestlingâ<80><99>s show on July 20th at Six Flags Kentucky Kingdom in Louisville, KY, so he may not be served with charges on that date.

Dwayne â<80><9c>The Rockâ<80> Johnson will appear on ESPNâ<80><99>s ESPY Awards show on July 11th. The awards ceremony will air on July 15th.

WWE superstar Batista recently did an interview for the sports talk station WFNZ, check it out at www.wfnz.com.

As noted very late last night, this past Tuesdayâ<80><99>s edition of ECW on Sci-Fi did a 1.6 cable rating. That is good news, but lower than the 1.7 last week.
