The planned “Hillbilly” tag team gimmick that was planned for SmackDown looks to be as good as dead. After they did a backstage segment a few weeks ago in which Theodore Long promised them a match on the subsequent episode of SmackDown, the creative team changed their minds on using them. The reason for the change of plans seems to be that Vince McMahon doesn’t want a “Hillbilly” team on the roster because it’s a bad image.
This may be nothing to make a big deal over, but some readers are saying that all of the photos of Trinity have been removed from the ‘Daily Diva’ section on WWE.com. At the moment, her profile is still up on WWE.com, but this does seem rather odd considering that she is still on the roster. Sans an appearance at WrestleMania, Trinity has been kept off of television since January for some unknown reason. Furthermore, Ariel’s photos were recently removed from the section, then again, she is no longer with the company.
The one and only Triple H was backstage at the One Night Stand PPV Sunday night. He was watching the show from the gorilla position monitors. It’s the first time he’s been around in a while as he’s been working on rehabbing his injuries at home. A number of people in the company noticed he was there and were going out of their way to say hello to him. They know that when he returns, the political power will obviously be in his favor.
