OVW’s Boris Alexiev was the wrestler who played the “fan” Santino Marella from RAW on Monday. Aleviex (real name Anthony Carelli) had been portraying a Russian monster heel in OVW, but is actually Italian, so WWE came up with the idea of giving him a big debut on the Italian tour. Some of you may also remember Carelli’s name as the OVW student who was slapped around by Jim Cornette in the incident that led to Cornette’s departure from WWE. He also already has a profile on the RAW superstars page.
WWE.com have created a new section called ‘WWE Alumni’ where basically, they move over the profiles of people who have appeared in their ‘Superstars’ sections and are now no longer in the company. Currently, they have Lita, The Rock and Trish Stratus. No Hulk Hogan. They do mention that they will be adding more people over the next several months.
