Stephanie McMahon Promoted, New WWE Talent, Lots More



John Cena’s “The Marine” has now pulled in $28.73 million in domestic DVD rentals, as of 4/8, according to Home Media Retailing. The film has also done better than $2 million overseas, including doing good business in Indonesia, New Zealand, Puerto Rico and The Philippines, but bombed in Japan and Spain. The movie has yet to debut in Italy, Germany and Mexico.

Stephanie McMahon’s title has been changed to Executive Vice President of creative. Her former official title was Director of Creative Writing. Brian Gerwitz, the head writer for Raw, and Smackdown head writer Michael Hayes (the former freebird) have become Vice Presidents of Creative.

Chris Nowinski will be doing a book signing on April 14 at 1pm at at Tatnuck Bookseller, Gift Gallery, and Café in Westborough, MA.

Ken Downs, 35, from Tyrone, PA is having a tryout with WWE Raw on Monday, May 7, 2007. He is having a dark match and will take on Val Venis unless things change.
