WWE Tops Ticket Sales For November

Dancing with the Stars and High School Musical challenge Wickedâs #1 spot overall

Chicago, December 7, 2006 â” Fan favorite World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) crashed onto the TicketsNow Entertainment Index, slamming all other sporting events in November. The wildly popular organization, led by superstars like John Cena, Batista, and Triple H, landed the #1 spot in the Sports category with 3.3% of ticket sales.

On the musical entertainment side, Dancing with the Stars, the tour based on the popular television show, and newcomer High School Musicalâ“The Concert both challenged the consistently popular Wicked for the #1 Overall spot; each garnered an impressive 3.8% of all sales on the site. The holiday classic Radio City Christmas Spectacular came in at #4 Overall with 3.4% of sales.

The Buffalo Sabres, the hottest team in hockey, have made their highest ranking in the Sports category at #5 and represent the top NHL team on the November Index with 2.3% of sales. The New York Rangers were the next highest-selling NHL team at #9 with 2%. The NFL also made a strong showing in second, third, and seventh place with the Jacksonville Jaguars, Dallas Cowboys, and Baltimore Ravens, who accounted for 3.1%, 2.7%, and 2% of sales respectively. The NBA rounds out the top 10 with the Miami Heat at #4 with 2.3% of sports ticket sales, Los Angeles Lakers at #6 with 2.2%, Cleveland Cavaliers at #8 with 2%, and Chicago Bulls at #10 with 1.8%.
