WWE.com is reporting that Smackdown diva, Michelle McCool was hospitalized over the Thanksgiving holiday and remains in the hospital for âan enlarged kidney and an electrolyte imbalanceâ. Apparently McCool went to the hospital because of general sickness and acute back pain a move that may have saved her life.
The hospital ran several tests including an ultrasound to discover her illness and according to WWEâs doctor, Dr. Ferdinand Rios, if the condition had been left un diagnosed she could have had heart or kidney failure.
In the article their doctor said âHer condition was complicated by an electrolyte imbalance; sometimes those cannot be corrected immediately, and due to lack of sodium [in her body] she needed a lot of intravenous fluids. Michelle most likely suffered a fractured sternum from one of her matches where she may have been kicked in the chest. Sheâs getting better and is getting stronger, and at this time is free from infection, When I spoke to her she was in good spirits.â
